Recipe: Buiscuits from Kentucky with figues jam from France!

Biscuits from Kentucky

2 cups flour Typ 550
1 TSP.  baking powder
¼ tsp. salt
6TPS. cold butter
¾ cup milk

1.Blend flour, baking powder and salt and stir.
2.Cut in butter in small pieces and kneed.
3.Add milk and stir.
4.Put flour on board and roll to ½ inch thick about 1cm thick.
5.Cutin circles with a glass.
6.Bake at 400F (200C)

Preparation time: 20 min.
Baking time: 12 min.
Serving size: 12 pieces

Typs:In Kentucy you serve biscuits with gravy, sausage or butter and jam. You can also serve like in England high tea, whipped cream and jam.

Figues Jam from France

400g of Figues, fresh figues are best, but can is also ok
200 g sugar
1 pinch of vanilla
½ cup water or jus from the figues in can

Simple, cook all ingredients in medium low heat for 40 minutes, let it cool down.

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Serving size: about 350g

Typ: Instead of figues, try with another fruit like raspberry!
