Recipe: Coleslaw

There are so many variations, but I like mine with mayonnaise and they have to have some sort of seeds. I added this time some pumpkin seeds. You can also add some mustard or celery seeds as well. I do not like my coleslaw too sweet, so you will see that it has more vinegar than sugar. So simple and you can be certain that the kids will love it. Seeds help. Be careful you do not get into practice of adding nuts or seeds to salads, because then you start gaining weight 🙂

Shredded white cabbage
carrots, shredded
onions, sliced
red apple (optional)
pumpkin seeds

1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp white sugar
3 TBSP oil (regular, not olive oil)
2 TBSP white wine vinegar
salt, pepper
cream, to sooth your dressing


1. wash cabbage, mix with all other vegetables.
2. make your dressing, by mixing all ingredients and then add to your coleslaw.
3. serve after an hour, because the cabbage will taste much better.
Step 1 and 2 (make your dressing separate, then add into the coleslaw)
This is how it looks, once you had mixed all, this after an hour.

Preparation: 20 minutes, but serve after one hour.
